The time has come where the voting for the QUARTERLY BEACHBODY CHALLENGE is over. I will get back to updating my P90X2 Journey. I finished day 42 a few minutes ago and have some photo's to update my current progress.
This workout was very fast paced and completely destroys two (2) of the biggest muscle groups in the body, which are the back and base (using plyometrics). I did a total of 90 pull ups over the course of ten (10) sets with an average of nine (9) full extention pull-ups.
None of the moves, individually, were extremely difficult to perform, but the pace of the workout absolutely killed my back. Some of the pull-ups had different names as those performed in P90X, but were very similar in the movement. There was a big emphasis on keeping the lower half of your body very clean and motionless. (except for the kippy cross fugly pull). Overall, I liked this workout a lot and I am sure my view will be a little bit different next week considering today was my first time through the workout.
Take a look at a few photo's of my P90X2 Journey.

Not to "toot my own horn", but if this is what day 42 looks like, than I can only imagine what the next 4 weeks of phase two (2) and the full phase three (3) will do. I am extremely motivated because the challenge and that $1,000 prize I already won. Regardless of the outcome of the Quarterly Beachbody Challenge, I will be pushing play and BRINGING IT 110% every single day to get the most out of these workouts. I don't mean to get ahead of myself, but I would love to start planning what weekend I will be going to L.A. Good luck to all of the other finalists and God bless.
